Each membership level is inspired by a bird that reflects a part of our work across Northern Arizona—from community connection to conservation and research. No matter which bird you choose, your membership supports all of our programs.


Northern Flicker — $25 (Individual)

A familiar and spirited woodpecker of forests, parks, and neighborhoods, the Northern Flicker reminds us that birds are part of our everyday lives.

This level represents our work bringing people and birds together through education and community programs.



Gambel’s Quail — $45 (Family up to 4 members)

Known for moving through the desert in family groups, Gambel’s Quail represents the importance of community. This level reflects our work engaging families and fostering shared connections to birds and nature.



Pinyon Jay — $50 (Individual)

Highly social and intelligent, Pinyon Jays are closely tied to the health of pinyon-juniper woodlands and play a vital role in forest regeneration.

This species is also a focal point of NAAS community science efforts—helping us better understand changes in Northern Arizona ecosystems.




Common Black Hawk — $100 (Individual)

A striking raptor of riparian forests, the Common Black Hawk depends on healthy waterways and intact ecosystems.

The Common Black Hawk reflects our commitment to protecting vital habitats and the ecosystems birds rely on.



Flammulated Owl — $500 (Individual)

A small, migratory owl of Northern Arizona’s forests, the Flammulated Owl represents our contribution to better understanding bird migratory movement through our Motus tracking stations. and bird movement across the region. This species was one of the first to be detected at one of our Motus stations.

California Condor — $1500 (Lifetime Individual Membership)

The California Condor is one of North America’s most powerful conservation stories—a species brought back from the brink through decades of dedicated work.

The California Condor represents long-term commitment and the lasting impact of protecting birds and habitats for generations to come.
